To Help

Overview

There are many opportunities for both individuals and groups to become involved with Phillips Farm County Park.  A partial list of current needs follows.  We are always interested in your suggestions.  For more information, please contact the Director of Latah County Parks and Recreation.

Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee works with the Director of Latah County Parks and Recreation, the Latah County Park Board, and the Latah County Commissioners to plan and implement activities and developments at Virgil Phillips County Park that are consistent with the park's mission of serving the recreational and educational needs of the area's youth.

Nature & Gardens

There are several opportunities to become directly involved with on-going or future projects in the areas of nature study or agriculture at Phillips Farm County Park.  Possibilities include monitoring amphibian or bird populations, or helping to develop the garden site or orchard.  Visit the Nature & Gardens page for more information.

Eagle Scout Projects

Past Eagle Scout Projects at Phillips Farm County Park include constructing the Informational Kiosk at the entrance of the park and building check dams on intermittent streams to slow soil erosion and improve wildlife habitat.  For further information about possible projects look at Virgil Phillips County Park - Possible Eagle Scout Projects.  To discuss these ideas or your ideas, please contact Lee Ann Eareckson.
